Hugo Lerias has spent his career inside the companies that built the modern internet — the edge era at Akamai, the early cloud at Amazon Web Services, and now AI-enabled engineering in manufacturing. He has never worked on a plant floor, and nothing in this book rests on his having done so. He writes about what large organisations do to small good ideas, which is a subject he did not choose so much as accumulate.
